Hi! I'm Jazzy Ellis

I am a SAG Award-winning stunt actor and member of the TV Academy with over 75 film & TV credits, including Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, HBO's The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, AMC's The Walking Dead, CW's The Vampire Diaries, and HBO's Lovecraft Country. I have stunt doubled for CCH Pounder, Sanaa Lathan, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Madison Bailey, to name a few. With a focus on safety, integrity, and equity, my goal for the last decade has been to level the playing field, add some color to the film industry’s grayscale expectations, and shake up the status quo. I have spent the bulk of my life integrating spaces and bridging new connections.  Before "falling into stunts" (pun intended), this Princeton alumna was a high school math and special education teacher, radio show host, pageant queen, professional dancer, and researcher in the Amazon jungle.

My latest focus is on ending the racist, sexist, ableist, and generally discriminatory practices that exist within the film/TV industry. With my new business, Stunt Sistah, I have turned my struggles and roadblocks into guidelines for how the marginalized can start and maintain a successful career as a stunt professional.  I help turn stunt hobbyists into stunt professionals, creating space for diverse performers to thrive in film/TV.

I also use my education, training, experiences and examples of triumph over adversity to inspire ambitious people of all ages, all walks of life, and in all industries to move through their fears to courageously reach their "impossible" goals.  This is accomplished through my mastery of the following healing modalities: Certified Life Coach, Certified Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, Guided Meditation Coach, and Retreat Facilitator.
